Blogging as Internet Marketing Brand Building

 By Alex Sysoef

Everyone talks about benefits of blogging but while mentioning most obvious benefits such as better Search Engine positioning, ease of use, ability to generate income … many fail to point out the most obvious point:

Blogging Is A Super-Powerful Tool To Build a Brand Of ONE – You!

Blogging by its nature and design and informal media of communication and permits us to share our thoughts, our opinions and our knowledge in a simple, easy to digest format.

It allows us to STEP AWAY from hype and present our opinion in a more engaging way, give readers a place to express their opinion and participate in this conversation. From this point on your blog becomes your most powerful Marketing Tool.

You don’t just get a permission to blast emails to your subscribers but to get them to be a part of conversation, part of the solution. You invite your readers to be part of your personal “inner circle” and YOU become part of SOLUTION to their problems.

What could be more powerful than this?

Well, since you ask… allow me to continue.

Blogging in itself DOESN’T exclude Internet Marketing but becomes part of it. An integral part responsible for building a trust between you and your readers / subscribers, corner stone of the foundation on which you can build your future success but you have to do it right!

Your blog should represent you. Until you manage to reach the status of someone like Mike Filsaime your personal brand doesn’t exist and has to be built carefully and patiently. The Blog is the best tool for the job and here are few points to help you develop it:

  • Make sure your about page contains information about you and something that establish your credibility and authority status on your subject. It doesn’t have to be a listing of your accomplishments (we are not writing resume) but information to establish trust between you and your readers.

  • Make sure you provide an easy way to contact you. Nothing puts me off faster then a lack of contact form, especially when you can do it easily and securely using plugins provided for blogs.

  • Provide some real content to your readers on your topic. Your goal is to help people so never forget it! It doesn’t mean you have to give away all your secrets but even a teaser with reference to your product will do you good. By providing quality information you make people wonder: “If he shares this for free, what does he have in paid version?” Pretty powerful method that works for me time and time again. In fact my free guide to building Web 2.0 WordPress blogs generates more sales then ALL affiliates combined!

  • Do include an easy option to subscribe to your mail list. Be it widget on your side or deliberately designed subscription form – make it easily accessible and available. I get anywhere between 5-20 subscribers daily from my blog and you can too.

Make your blog part of your overall marketing strategy but do it right and you will be rewarded. Not only do you get to earn from it but most importantly..

You Get To Build Your Personal Brand.

Advanced Resell Rights Strategies

Lesson 2 of 8

Find Quality Resell Rights Products

Not all of the products that you currently have on your hard drive will be worth anything. They may have been low-quality products to begin with. They may contain outdated information. They may already be flooding the marketplace. Before you seek out new resell rights products, however, let’s take a real look at what you have.

Start going through your files, and actually look at those products. If they are low-quality or outdated, there may be hope. Read the license and see if you have the right to ‘freshen’ them up. If you do not have that right, contact the product creator and see if he or she will give you the right – or sell you the right. They may even be willing to freshen up the product for you, if you approach them in the right way and help them to see the value of the product.

Get rid of anything that cannot be freshened up. If it contains outdated information, and you cannot get that information up-to-date, it isn’t of any use to you or anybody else. If the product is not of a higher quality, you don’t want your name associated with it. If you aren’t sure whether or not you should delete it, copy it over to a CD and store it away. Just get it out of your way for now.

Don’t get rid of those products that are flooding the market place. There may be a use for them later, depending on the license that accompanies them. Also, just because something is already being widely sold, this is no indication that you won’t be successful with it – it is just a matter of knowing how to sell it. You’ve heard of people who could sell snow to Eskimos – you may be one of those people.

Now, take another look at what you have. The number of products has most likely been greatly reduced, and as a professional reseller, you definitely need to be on the constant lookout for new resell rights products to add to your collection. Not just any resell rights product will do. You want high quality products in profitable niches.

Let’s first look at profitable niches. A profitable niche is any niche in which there is money being spent. If people are consistently advertising in a niche, they are doing so because they are making money from that advertising. Few businesses throw away good advertising dollars.

To find resell rights products, you can join PLR membership sites or purchase from one time sales. PLR stands for Private Label Rights. When joining such a site, look for one that has a limited number of members, as this limits the overall distribution of these products.

When selecting products, it is important that the product meet or exceed certain criteria. This criterion includes:

  • Is the product professional? Does it have a professional feel and sound to it?
  • Is the product new or already flooding the market?
  • Is the product part of a low priced package? (often these packages are not full of quality products, or products that are flooding the market already)
  • Is there a paying market for the product?
  • Is the product informative? Does it solve a problem or fill a need?

There are other things that you must look at as well, including:

  • What are my rights that are lined out in the license?
  • How much can I charge for the product? Is there a set price or can I choose my own?
  • Can the product be used as a bonus gift?
  • Is there a sales page included, and can that sales page be altered to suit me?

You must look at the purchase of resell rights products as an investment for your business. With any other type of business, you would think carefully about that investment, and only choose the best possible investment for your business. If you look at it from this point of view, you will be more successful in selecting quality resell rights products.

Also note that just because a product does not advertise that resell rights are available, this does not in anyway mean that they aren’t. Contact the product creator to see if they will sell the resell rights to you.

Affiliate Tips & Tricks

Tip #1:  Choose products or services that have great customer and affiliate support systems. When you advertise a product or service to your list, you are recommending it. How the product performs reflects on you and your judgment. A lousy or non-existent customer support system will reflect badly on you to a much greater degree.

The producers of the products or services for which you are an affiliate marketer have the responsibility to provide support to those who purchase their wares but they are equally responsible for providing support to those who sell their products and services.

Trick: Investigate the support systems that are in place for customers and for affiliate marketers.

Tip #2: Choose products or services that provide good tracking systems.  A minimum of sales tracking that the makers of a product or service should provide for affiliate marketers is sales statistics. They can, however, choose to provide more in depth information.

Those who provide no tracking systems are not ones that would be considered viable choices by savvy affiliate marketers....if they won’t tell you; maybe they have something to hide.

Trick: Before you become an affiliate marketer for any product or service, ascertain that there is a sufficient sales tracking system to avoid being ripped off.
